Mathieu Janssen (1984) graduated Sociology in Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and has a background in journalism as a freelance writer and organiser of public debates. In 2013 he co-founded Deep End Film, and after starting with screening feature films on off beat locations, his passion slowly moved towards short films. He organised many short film screenings, wrote interviews with short film directors and in 2016 he joined the selection committee of Go Short’s student competition. Next to film distribution and being a pre-selector at Vienna Shorts he now mainly works as head of the competition section and as a programmer of many other events at Go Short.

Short Talk is a podcast by Talking Shorts. In each episode a professional from the short film circuit will discuss about their work, career and event during a friendly talk with the host.
